At present the following tax incentives for individuals, organizations and estates are available.

Within South Africa:

Through the Tlholego Rural Educational Trust (established 13 may 1999), it is possible for individuals, organizations and estates to make tax deductible investments, in terms of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act.  This means:

a. receipts by or accruals to this Trust are exempt from income tax in terms of 10(1)(f) of the act

b. donations by or to this Trust are exempt from donations tax in terms of section 56(1)(i) and (j) of the act

c. bequests or accruals from the estates of deceased persons in favour of this Trust are exempt from payment of estate duty in terms of section 4(h) of the Estate Duty Act, 45 of 1955

d. in terms of section 4(1)(f) of the Stamp Duties Act, 1968, any instrument which is executed by of on behalf of this Trust is exempt from stamp duty.

Tax Deduction outside of South Africa

TDP is currently setting up a similar structure in the USA and details will be posted to this page as soon as possible.
